1870

Maggie Bonanomi
everyone should have on their hooking shelf for inspiration
1870
designed by Maggie Bonanomi
I have just finished a very big project for The Wool Street Journal that I poured every ounce of energy I had into. I can't wait to see it in the WSJ!! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed hooking it!
I am now starting a rug that Maggie Bonanomi designed and I have had on my shelf for several years.  I have pulled it out numerous times and put away for a special time when I knew I could enjoy color planning, which is one of my greatest joys in hooking a rug.  I love to pull out wool and make several stacks next to the rug and sit and stare and then begin to move the wool around and pull certain pieces out and then head back to my wool room to find more of just the right shade to add.  It is a process that is so satisfying when you get it right! I have only pulled a few loops and love this rug already.

I will keep adding as time permits me to pull loops and hope you enjoy the journey with me.

The tree is down at Mom and Dad's house... and  mom's hooking frame is up!!
She has designed a little mat to fill a spot on her wall that has been bugging her. The space
measures about 34" x 8" under her rug ~ Hen Club. So she designed a little fence...
What a fun quick project Mom! A sample of her hooking this "complimentary" rug will be in
the April issue of The Wool Street Journal. For now.... just a peek.
